Why Wonders of the World?
A few years back, a ten-year old boy asked artist Jerry Beck why none of the famous Wonders of the World were in the U.S. He wanted to know if he and his friends could make their own Wonder of the World right here at home... and so the Revolving Museum went to action! The result: an innovative, ongoing educational art program called "Wonders of the World" (WOW). Inspired by the energy of carnivals, arcades, side shows, theme parks, and festivals, WOW celebrates who we are as individuals and as a community. It supports the chance to share ideas, to express opinions, and to build new relationships. It allows us the opportunity to put on costumes, adopt new identities and attitudes, to laugh and sing, to dance, to make and play games, to learn and have fun.
