ARTicle Fashion brings contemporary art together with a wide-range of materials and explores the fashion industry from many different angles, teaching students multiple aspects of fashion production with real-world career development. Students learn design concepts, garment construction, production techniques, and draw up plans that will culminate in a sustainable, profitable business model. ARTicle Fashion also includes a screen printing class that allows students to design and create their own printed creations. Focusing on the process of screen printing and the artistic techniques associated with designing and creating a screen-based stencil, the students learn to print their design onto shirts, bags, and other fashion items. Each session delivers a final student fashion show. Last year, ARTicle participated in the annual Boston Fashion Week. Online Purchases of ARTicle's student designed fashions will soon be available. |
