Water Wheel, 2003
Wood, hydrocal, burlap

The Water Wheel reflects the past, the present and the future of Lowell. Water is a powerful force that used in combination with wheels in the past made energy to keep the factories producing. Now the water forcefully moves through the beautiful channels of the city creating a cool energy for the viewer’s enjoyment. The water and the wheels make us think about the lost past, the energetic and ever-changing present and the hope for the ever-flowing waters of the world, that they may be preserved and forever giving of nourishment.
